Well we had another great elk hunting season at the Mescelero Indian Reservation in New Mexico. We are now booking 9-12 hunters for them a year. I shot a nice 340 type bull off there this year and Troy Christensen shot a great 350 bull. We had two hunters shot super bulls. One was 368 and the other 377.The Mescalero in my opnion is one of the best values out there for what you get. $13,500 you stay at a resort and casino and you see 10-15 screaming bulls a day and most importantly you will usually have a shot at a 350+ bull(I passed down a 360 type bull first day.) Question, how much would you pay for a good quality elk hunt with good accomadtions, great food, and a chance at a 360+ type bull in the rut?

Well i'am jealous, sounds like you guys had a hell of a hunt and got to see some great bulls. As far as how much i would pay for a hunt since my yearly limit is around 3,500 dollars iam limited to either one guided hunt if i get drawn for the area or a couple out of state public draw hunts. I really hope this doesnt sound bitter but damn i wish i could afford a 14,000 dollar hunt because i would damn for sure go on one. Unfortunatly it seems like this is one of the main ways to have a chance at a trophy class animal. Unless luck is on your side and many miles of walking pays off chances are slim to find an animal that would be even close to that trophy class range. So my answer would have to be at this time 3,500 dollars which usually includes for me a nice two person tent dehydrated food and a great day of solitude. But iam still waiting to win the lottery and then hell ill take you on a 14,000 dollar hunt Mr. Mogle and what the hell Troy can come to. LAFFIN........

$13500 sounds like a fair deal for what you get there. I don't think that hunt would be for everyone. I know staying in a casino isn't my idea of an elk hunt.
