mogster,

Thanks for the feedback. I also looked at the Swarovski's. They look awesome, and as expected, the glass was great. Still leaning towards the Leica 1200, reasons: slightly more compact than the Swaros and I like the red display, especially during low-light conditions.

Hey WBY. Just to let you know and maybe this was a problem i just had with the swarovski and the leicas. was during mid day sunny conditions i had a real hard time seeing the display. Again these two products are top of line. But i would suggest trying this out before purchasing either set or for that matter any range finder. I hope this helps you out and Happy Shopping.

I have the same problem seeing the numbers on my Swarovski finder. With more use though, I have gotten used to it and know now how to hold it where I am seeing through the center of the eyepiece. It is still my choice.

Well, I went with the Leica 1200. Haven't played with it a whole bunch except around home, but I am very pleased with it's size and quick readings. Will let you all know after a late September elk hunt in WY.

I've used the leica 800 and have had awesome readings from it.
Last season I got the mini 900 and it's laser works just as good and mabye better.
I ranged a mule deer buck at 925 yards for a friend before his stalk up to 425 and he took the deer.
It grossed 207" and had a 8x7 _frame_.
I tried one of my hunters leupold new rangefinders and I could not get a reading off a farmhouse at 423 yards,on my leica I got laser readback no problem. That's shooting at a large building.
Not an animal.
