Here's one that I want to put out and get some feedback on. When it comes to having your trophy animals mounted where do you start and where do you say enough is enough?

WHAT DO YOU MEAN ENOUGH IS ENOUGH? HAVE YOU HAD SOME BAD WORK DONE?THE TWO TAXIDERMISTS I'VE USED HAVE BEEN BY WORD OF MOUTH. I HAVE BEEN HAPPY WITH BOTH.IF YOU HAVE HAD A BAD JOB DONE, SAY SOMETHING HERE. AND THATS HOW IT STARTS. MAYBE YOU GUYS HAVE DONE THIS,BUT I KEEP OTHER PEOPLES CAPESTO TRADE TO HELP NEGOTIATE THE PRICE. JUST MY 2 CENTS.TBW HOW LONG HAS THIS FORUM BEEN ON FOR?

live2hunt I think I know what you are saying. If you are hunting often and harvesting a lot of nice animals when is enough enough. Common answer would be when you are either broke or out of room or when your wife tells you you have more fun sleeping with your trophies than you do with her. At that point I think it would be time to scale back. I know my trophy room is getting full and I have two choices, build a bigger trophy room or only mount those animals that are bigger than what I currently have. For now I am going with the later. I feel your pains.....

I agree with the Mogster but right now i am dealing with an angry wife who doesn't want to build on just to have a trophy room. I am running out of ideas hell she won't let me have some of the mounts in my house as it is now! I would love to mount everything if I could afford it and had a place to put it!!!

It's nice to have your trophies mounted and to be able to enjoy them, but I also have run out of room. I have all of mine outside in my shop, a few in my _base_ment, but my wife's had to go upstairs in the family room!!! LOL...
But at least she doesn't get mad when I get another one done. When I used to do all my own, it seemed everything anyone in the family killed that was average or better got mounted. Now I'm paying for it, it has to be a great specimen.
I just can't imagine shooting a trophy animal and then not mounting it..
