I just booked a Shiras moose and Mule deer hunt in Sept 2008 with WHO and saw on the trophy page that John hunted with them last year. I was wanting to know your overall impression of the hunt. I am already loosing sleep and would like to hear some info on this hunt, to get me by. My primary species is the Moose and if I have enough time hope to find a good mulie to. I will be shooting my New 300 RUM custom. Also would you guys at Christensen Arms be interested in videoing the hunt for a future episode of the TV show. I would love to meet you guys. Those guys are awesome!! You will have a great hunt.. Do you know where you are hunting? Utah, or Wyoming? I hunted mule deer with them this past fall and killed my biggest mule deer to date. WHile hunting we saw a SHiras that would go over 160". A toad.... I am on there moose waiting list for 2009-2010. Also if any one else is interested we book hunts for these guys. My hunt is in Utah on the East Fork CWMU for the moose, and if I have enough time I will hunt the mule deer in the Clark Canyon CWMU. The tentitve dates for the hunt are Sept 22-26 2008. I DID NOT KNOW YOU BOOKED HUNTS FOR SHIRAS or I would have given you a call. I will give you a call monday morning to see if we can work somthing out for the filming. Thanks Joel

You should have a great hunt this fall. I guide for these guys and we killed our widest bull on east fork last year. 52". Big bull. Their moose properties are awesome. I guided a guy on another unit in Sep. and we killed a great bull. 46" wide 8X11 and triple fronts. Clark Canyon can hold some great deer as well. It gets better as the year goes on, but there are some resident bucks there always.
Mogster what unit are you trying for in '09? Where did you hunt in '07? I saw your pic on the web site. Looks like you had a great time.
I have one of you guns and am thinking of replacing the stock. Have a Laminated and would like the new graphite. I wonder if that will help the accuracy at all. I have had a hard time getting under an inch on a 3 shot group. although I am only using factory loads.
