Best Shot Seen in Over 14 Years of Guiding |
I went up to Quebec not too long ago and was able to harvest a pretty good Caribou. While the animal was definitely worth the trip it was the gun that made it all possible...Throughout the hunt the wind never let up and my guide and I were
worried about shooting anything from too great a distance. However...
...as a Caribou was standing near the crest of a hill and with my hunt winding down, I decided that I
needed to take the shot. Through a cross wind of around 20 mph and at a
distance of 568 yards, my Christensen Arms 300 WSM put the Caribou down
with one shot through its vitals. The guide said it was the best shot
he's seen in his 14 years of guiding!
Thanks for a great gun that gave me the confidence to take the shot!
