My Christensen Arms in Sonora, Mexico

seversmuleytp.jpg Just returned to the office and wanted to share my good fortune from my two week Sonara Mexico hunt.  First of all, put Sonora on your list, it was definitely one of my favorite hunts in North America.  As I went through my checklist and prepared for the trip, I was told I'd definitely need a long range gun because it was giant country.  I had my Christensen Arms 300 Ultra Mag.  That item was definitely taken care of...

Desert Sheep All of the animals I harvested were shot using my Christensen Arms 300 Ultra Mag.  The desert sheep was taken on the sixth day of the hunt at 507 yards and scores 181 6/8.  Just a great ram that I'm really proud of with it's first measurement being 17" at the base.  The gun was right on the money...

The second trophy was a desert mule deer scoring 152" B&C , 152" Muley which appeared to be a good buck through the brush at 235 yards.  The buck doesn't score the highest but he has character.

202" Muley

The next desert muley was a dream buck.  He scores 202 3/8 is 28" wide and 26" tall.  He stepped out of the brush around last light at 214 yards.  Needless to say, we celebrated big that night...

Coues Deer The last trophy, a Coues Deer, was taken in the last thirty minutes of the last day.  The buck was chasing does in the thick brush and gave me a shot at 114 yards.  These are great little deer and very challenging to hunt.  He scored 105 5/8".

Anyway, thanks for building a great gun, it has been worth every penny.  Hope all is well and happy hunting!

All the best,

Brad Severs, Illinois
