It has become my favorite rifle for all hunting and is now 'the one I reach for' when I'm packing for a hunting trip.
The attached photos are of an eland and a gemsbok bulls I took on a recent (July 2006) hunt in the Republic of South Africa with a Christensen Arms Extreme in 300 WSM. Five of the 6 animals (red hartebeest, impala, eland, blesbok, blue wildebeest) were one-shot kills at ranges from 130 to 225 yards. The gemsbok took a second shot despite the first shot having passed through both lungs as he walked in a herd of about 30 animals, quartering away.
The second bullet (a 180 grain Nosler Partition, with the entrance hole visible in the photo) passed through the heart and dropped him as he ran out of a small kloof at about 185 yards. This rifle routinely shoots cloverleaf groups at 100 yards and 0.5 MOA groups out to 300 yards from the bench.
