Riding into an alpine bowl at first light, my guide, David Dandridge and I spotted three bucks high on the mountain at 900 yards.  We were seperated by a 100 ft rock cliff and 1/2 mile of steep terrain.  We rode around the end of the cliff out of sight and worked to the top.

As I clipped on a short bipod, David ranged the closest buck at 770 yards and I knew I had a challenge.  I set the elevation turret on 770 and backed it off four clicks to compensate for the 19 degree incline.  With the deep forked four in the distance, I touched the Jewell Trigger on my Christensen Arms.      

The buck dropped where it stood and after David was able to speak he looked at me and said, "You rolled him", obviously impressed.    

Two days later, as David continued to hunt in an effort to fill his own tag, he located and took great buck using my seven pound Christensen Arms rifle.  

The distance?  725 yards.  He was really impressed then.

Two shots and two bucks taken at well over 700 yards, now that's an accurate rifle.
